Prep

Read script and familiarize self with show.

Analyzed script for props, sound effects, character entrances/exits, and costume changes.

Organized then distributed scripts (or sides if necessary) and contact forms to actors.

Made & populated document formats for all scheduling, signage, company forms, contacts, deck run sheet, prop list, sound effect list, character/scene/song breakdown and rail cue sheet.

Set up callboard.

Began making/updating prompt book (bible).

Discussed with assistant stage managers (ASM) individual responsibilities.

Began sourcing and creating sound effects.

Started sourcing rehearsal props.

Posted running order and other important documents backstage.
Auditions
-
Set up audition space (music room and stage).

Distributed and collected audition forms. Then digitized info.

Directed actors where to go for auditions.

Distributed audition sides for actors.

Recorded actors singing and dancing.

Floated between audition spaces to check-in.
Rehearsals
-
Set up the rehearsal space. (Including sweeping/vacuuming/mopping stage)

Checked with director about schedule for rehearsal (any changes).

Checked attendance and contacted absent actors.

Verified that all actors were ready. (costume/makeup/shoes/etc.)

Updated rehearsal report.

Called a "hold" in the event of a safety issue or at the request of the director/music director.

Notated/revised blocking.

Ensured that rehearsal stayed on track, according to the schedule.

Sent out scheduling (daily/weekly) and rehearsal report at end of rehearsal.

Ensured that the rehearsal space was cleaned up and props put up.
Tech Rehearsals

Gave calls (30, 10, 5, places) to actors, technical operators, creatives, etc. until the start of rehearsal/run.

Distributed belt packs and checked backstage communication system.

Ensured that all technical elements (that are operational) were ready to use and that operators were ready.

Brought room to order and started the rehearsal/run.

Called all technical cues available for the run/rehearsal.
-
Called a "hold" for any technical issues and resolved any problems.

Checked with director for any notes about the rehearsal/run.

Once rehearsal was over, ensured scenery and props were reset to their top of show positions.
Performances
-
Moved all actors and crew to the greenroom so that the house can be opened. Then announce that the house is open.

Updated performance report.

Checked in with all technical operators before acts one and two.

Called all technical cues during the performance.
