Scenic Construction

Even though he predominately works as a Stage Manager, Marshall has contributed to the construction of scenery for the productions at Greensboro College and the Actors' Conservatory Theatre.

Examples

Marshall has used various tools and materials in his experience with scenic construction:

​

  • Power tools (drivers, drills, saws, sanders, grinders, bandsaw, staple/nail gun, hand tools, etc.)

  • Brushes, rollers, and sponges (texturing/distressing)

  • Squares, rulers, and levels

  • Lumber (plywood, benderboard, luan, etc.)

  • Paints (spray paints, water-based, and plaster+paint mix)

  • Basic metal work (cutting, marking, and simple MIG welding)
